With its scenic views overlooking Ridge Rd and Cayuga Lake, visitors to Creations by Carol are curious and delighted when they see the floral creations inside the shop in Lansing.
Carol Howell started the business in 1983 using her experience from working in floral shops in Rochester, Omaha and Ithaca and her Horticulture degree from Morrisville College. The store is located in a converted tenant house on a 100-acre farm that dates back to 1796.
As part of her interest in natural creations, Carol grows many types of annuals, perennials, and grains in her many gardens and neighboring farm fields. These are then harvested and air dried in the circa 1800’s barn loft. Her many wreaths and arrangements are on display and also can be custom made to match your décor.
In addition to making wreaths and arrangements, she also does wedding designs in fresh, silk or dried flowers. Come visit the shop and gardens to view her artistic designs or for a free wedding consultation.
