Uniquely
situated near Ludlowville Falls, The Federal House Bed and Breakfast
offers guests a relaxing stay in an environment of beauty, history and
hospitality. The Federal style home, circa 1815, was a visiting spot
for William Seward, Lincoln’s Secretary of State, during his courtship
of Frances Miller, niece of the home’s builder, Abijah Miller.
Exquisite original woodwork, reputedly hand carved by Brigham Young
still graces the home which is furnished with period antiques and
artwork by some of the region’s most talented artists. Four beautiful
guest rooms, all with private baths, are available year round.
Enjoy
TV or games in the common room, a stroll through the perennial gardens
or to the waterfall, sitting on the guest porch or by an evening fire
outdoors, or just relaxing in the swing or gazebo. Convenient to
Downtown Ithaca, Cornell University, the Ithaca Farmers Market, the
Cayuga Wine Trail, and lots of antique shops and places of interest,
you’ll find the Federal House B&B to be a perfect blend of early
American living and modern comforts.
