More than a garden center, we are a nursery, propagating most of our plants on site.
This allows us to control the quality and diversity of our selection, and to hold a
huge inventory of mature plants over the winter, which means we have
beautiful, acclimated robust plants for sale in spring. We specialize in NATIVE
PLANTS for all habitats, growing more natives than any retail nursery in New York State.
We offer customized landscape design, installation and maintenance. You’ll communicate directly with Dan Segal,owner of The Plantsmen, and you'll enjoy the benefits of our unique perspective, a blend of ecological restoration and ornamental horticulture. Our plants are grown without any toxic pesticides or herbicides. We are proud to be a high-volume but sustainable, family-friendly nursery. We maintain display gardens, ponds and a play area for kids, all in a peaceful natural ambience. If you don’t come here first, you’ll wish you had!
